🎶 Yorkshire Young Musicians (YYM) is recruiting a Singing Tutor for its Leeds centre. YYM is a Centre for Advanced Training in Music, supported by the DfE's Music & Dance Scheme. It offers high-level tuition to talented young musicians aged 8–19. 🎵 The role involves one-to-one vocal lessons for approx. 4–4.5 hours per week. Teaching takes place on Sundays during term time (30 Sundays a year) at Leeds Conservatoire, and may also include ensemble coaching. YYM is looking for an experienced teacher who can inspire and nurture young singers. Candidates need a music degree or equivalent professional experience and a strong understanding of safeguarding. We can only support applications where music is at the heart of the project and where the people who will benefit are based within South Yorkshire. Grant Funding We offer two types of grants: Small Grants – up to £750 Large Grants – up to £2,000 Our Small Grants programme is open throughout the year and supports a wide range of music-based activities, projects and opportunities. Our Large Grants programme is designed for new project ideas or established projects seeking additional funding to expand their impact. As funding is limited, only a small number of Large Grants are awarded each year. We encourage applicants to carefully consider which grant programme is most appropriate before applying.

Yorkshire Sound Women Network and the Daphne Oram Trust are inviting participants to make music from the archive of electronic pioneer Daphne Oram (1925–2003). The Trust has curated a sample pack from Oram's own tapes (1956–74): music, sound design and spoken word from the era when she co-founded the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and set up Tower Folly, the first electronic studio founded by a woman. The Music Growth Fund (MGF) is a new investment programme designed to support growth in new music. We define new music as original music (i.e. live performance, sound recording or musical work) recently or newly created or performed by living, UK-based artists or music creators. It is open to music festivals, music managers, music promoters, music publishers, record labels, recording studios, rehearsal spaces and grassroots music venues as well as the established sector bodies and other sector support organisations that support them. Please see the MGF Applicant Specific Guidance for further support through the Arts Council website. The Music Growth Fund is delivered through two strands: £1,000 - £40,000 and £40,001 - £100,000. The next deadline is 26th November followed by 7th January 2027.

Applications are now open for the Amplify Apprenticeship Programme 2027/28, and we’re inviting AIM members to apply as employers. Grow your team and help open up paid routes into independent music, with salary support, fully funded training and practical guidance throughout. What is Amplify? Co-founded by Women in CTRL and Amazon Music, Amplify is delivered in partnership with Big Creative Education, AIM and MMF, with support from Attitude is Everything and Black Lives in Music. It is supported by Arts Council England via AIM. The programme creates paid, accredited pathways into music for young people facing structural barriers. Each employer will take on one apprentice in an entry-level administrative and operational support role for 12 months, starting by mid-May 2027. The Business Benefits: · Salary support: up to 25% of the apprentice’s 12-month salary, based on the Real Living Wage. Employers cover the remaining salary, National Insurance and pension contributions. · Fully funded training: Big Creative Education delivers a Level 3 accredited qualification, funded through Amazon Music’s apprenticeship levy at no training cost to the employer. · Practical support: recruitment, onboarding, funded HR support, mentoring and regular apprentice check-ins. Music for All is a UK charity working to improve access to music making. Awards include up to 12 acoustic guitars, 30 ukuleles, 30 pBuzz instruments, five electro-acoustic or electro-classical guitars, and music software.
